Creating a website/about me page/portfolio/home/contact

 A few days ago i began creating my website using "Wix website editor". I am not quite familiar with digital work so I expected this task to be a major challenge. Working with wix and getting familiar with the program it was not as challenging as expected at the end of the day but a bit more practise would be ideal.

Step 1 was to type wix on google and enter your email, create a passcode and sign up.

Step 2 required answering some questions.

Step 3 was searching the available templates given by wix editor and i searched for fashion templates. I chose fashion designer template as my website will be about fashion design.

Step 4 was editing and renaming the pages to home, about, portfolio and contact.

Step 5 was deleting the chatbox, the icon shown below on the top right hand side, as seen on and vector bar.

Step 6 was adding a menu button and pressing design

Step 7 was pressing the discover more menus and choosing the second one. Then i pressed customise design and kept the regular black colour

Step 8 was choosing the grey colour for clicked 

Step 9 was choosing the LULO CLEAN font 

Step 10 was changing the font size to 10px, making the letters bold and rearranging the menu bar to the place that seems right.

Step 11 was moving the name to the left hand corner and keeping the LULO CLEAN font. Also i changed the font size to 28px and made the letters bold.

Step 12 was changing the colour to dark grey 

    Step 13 was changing the name to EVE and changing the font size to 47px

Step 14 was pressing gallery and choosing a template 

Step 15 was placing the gallery exactly where i wanted it to be

Step 16 was pressing manage media and deleting everything 

Step 17 was pressing add media 

Step 18 was upload media 

Step 19 was to upload media from computer

Step 20 was selecting add to page and pressing done

Step 21 was moving the gallery and then deleting all of the previous texts and icons

Step 22 was placing a copyright

Step 23 was going to the about me page and deleting the previous texts and images 

Step 24 was placing a text box and writing inside who i am am, how did i get to where i am, what am i doing now and what my plans are for the future. Also i changed the font to montserrat and 17 px.

Step 25 was uploading media and initially i would have uploaded it from instagram but it would not upload hence i uploaded from the computer files

Step 26 was choosing the picture

Step 27 was rearranging 

Note: i decided not to change the page background colour and left it white so as the give off a "clean look" and not seem too busy.

Step 28 was going to the portfolio page and pressing add gallery

Step 29 was choosing the slide deck gallery and placing it on the page

Step 30 was deleting the previous pictures and adding images 

Step 31 was going back to the home page and deleting the gallery which i had already made as i figured that the clothes i designed and sawn by my mother would better be suited in the portfolio section

Step 32 was going on instagram and finding a video which most suits my grunge aesthetic which i will try to incorporate into my new fits and adding it onto the home page and pressing play on loop.

I also added the video credits onto the video on the website

Step 33 was going on contact and adding a pic of my diorama fashion show project that i did for 3D and cropping it

Step 34 was placing a social bar and deleting most of the social apps and keeping instagram and pinterest which i connected to my pinterest research for my portfolio which is my own research based on other posts and my instagram for DMU which is my original work. I also added blogger and inserted the link for my blog account.

My final up to date website placed in phone mode
