portrait photography(website)
Todays task was to take pictures of myself using portrait mode for my website. The aim of the pictures was to accentuate professionalism and not look silly/immature or provocative. Additionally this was done as we as people tend to recycle our old pictures and post them everywhere.
My first shot was a trial and error as i wanted to test the lighting in my dining room that has a large window in front of it that allows fresh light to enter.
these were again taken with natural light and f:2.8
also i decided to change my hairstyles and see what suits me better.
for these pictures i used natural light again and f:16
for the first i used studio light 50 and f16 and then for the 2nd i used studio light 100 f16 for the 3rd and 4th studio light 68 f16
I chose this one as i believe it was the best i used studio light 43 -1.0 exposure and 3sec timer.
Good that you have added your technical settings and you tried this out in different locations and lights. You really needed a plain background though and I would have sat slightly sideways to achieve a nice angle and pose
ReplyDeleteEveline you are very behind on this blog you have to spend much more time on this as you are running out of time - you have not completed all class and self study work each week and I am not seeing how your project has even started - please get on top of this

ReplyDeleteI really like the background of your end photo but it is a little bit distracting because the focus is now on the background instead of you.
Evelina as discussed you need to work on your fashion design collection - you can do this by hand but I would suggest using templates to create consistency - you need to then upload these and show all the process and create a portfolio using photopea which is very similar to pixlr - you should have a plan of your portfolio pages and add a good introduction to your concept and each page should be laid out consistently. You need to actually describe the clothes and the materials using the proper fashion terms using the fashion glossary.
