Set Project: look 3/ Ignite

Ignite is the term used for catching fire hence the purpose and meaning of this look. I wanted to give this meaning as it is the thrill that one feels when wearing this outfit which is feeling hot just like the third stage of a fire which is where it is the hottest. For the corset top Organic Hemp will be used to give support to the structure, the top shirt and skirt will be made using Qmilch to avoid rashes and have a soft feel on the body, the sculpted heel of the look will be made using rubber from algae and the net like look for the front of the heel will be made using a small amount of wool and Squids in. The reason is to avoid throwing them away when the season is over but instead wear them in Autumn as well to keep the feet warm even though they are open to promote appreciation of the products and take a step back from buying new ones. The bag will be made from Pinatex to keep it in one place and be strong and resistant to last.

The sketches are indicated below.

The colour palette will be as follows:

The inspiration for the corset came to me using the ideas below. I really believe that corsets are diachronic, elegant but also sexy in their own way without being completely revealing.

The inspiration for the top came to me from the following. I wanted to make it sheer red and place it there in order to avoid giving off just a sexy look from corset but instead complement two factors together.

The skirt is fitted underneath as a high waist skirt so as to project the look of it being a dress. The reason in why this isn not a dress is because it would look asymmetrical and also it would look weird being all one piece as the shirt on top is see through and then the skirt is a bit silky. Additionally i made this design into a 3 piece so as to project sustainability and make use of every piece of clothing in ones wardrobe so as to avoid buying another shirt from a cheaper store which manufactures and disposes it in an inappropriate way towards the environment. I drew inspiration form the following:

The bag was inspired by the top point of the shape of the fire emoji and the shape from circular bags.

The inspiration for the shoes came from nets and i associated the shoes with the container they use to throw water over the fire to take it out. It is lace up on the feet to represent the hurling of the flames on the tree that take over it time by time.

For the sculpted heel I was inspired by sculpted heels.

Overall this was a very dynamic look which was enjoyable to watch come to life.
