Set Project: look 5/ Cementerio

Cementerio is defined as the cemetery in Spanish. I chose this name in order to embrace the fact that after a fire the forest becomes the cemetery of the burned down trees and dead animals but also a cementary for us humans as our life support dies. I wanted to create a dark black look for the fifth design as it is also the last stage of the fire which is darkness. The materials used in the top were organic cotton and Qmilch, for the pants organic bamboo linen and organic hemp, the shoes from rubber from algae and Pinatex and the bag from faux fur from plants.

The colour palette is indicated below:
The inspiration for the top came to me from slinky, minimal black dresses, tops which fall on the body complementing it in unique ways.
I was inspired from the top of these dresses from the way they fit around the breast area to the straps pn top.

I liked the detail on the top where it kind of wraps onto the shoulders.
The element of how it falls on the top area and the straps on the shoulders.
I liked the slinky feel this gives off but also the cut outs on the top.
From this shirt i liked the cut outs on the sleeves but also the fact the sleeves are asymmetrical at the bottom.
I liked the top and the cut out in the breast area.
The lace up element of the shirt
    The side cut out.
The cut out on the shirt and the straps on the shoulders.

From all these designs I incorporated the different elements on each piece and created one piece.
For the pants the inspiration was cropped flare pants and lace up pants.

For the lace up element of the pant i was mostly inspired by this top as shown beneath.

I liked the fit of the pants.
From the following pants i liked the fit.

From the pants indicated below i liked the lace up elements.
Additionally  i liked the element of these low rise pants.
For the shoes i wanted to design square toe pumps which i was inspired by the following as square toe give me a more sophisticated vibe which is what i thought was appropriate for the 'cemetery look'.

For the fur bag i was inspired by fur and tiny pocket bags.

For the headband i was inspired by elastic stretch bands in order to keep the hair in place.

Overall this look represents the concept i had in mind.
