Tell me a story
For my set project I have chosen the theme of colour of the night. One of my ideas involved is the concept of the fallen angel. For this story I decided to really try to get into character so this is my take:
Rosie was one of Gods favourites. She loved being wanted and help other angels, due to her pure and innocent soul. She always admired how beautiful and majestic Heaven was and wanted to do everything in her power to maintain the peace and calmness. She took it upon herself to facilitate other angels by doing their chores such as making sure the clouds opened up to allow rainfall to the earth or that the clouds were happy in order to let the sun shine. Until one day all of her hard work and purity backfired against her. A new angel was welcomed into Heaven, named Paloma. Rosie was immediately friendly to the new angel and wanted introduce her to everyone to make her feel welcomed. Unlike Rosie, Paloma had dark brown hair and black eyes while Rosie had big green eyes and ginger hair. As the months went by Rosie noticed something strange. Paloma began neglecting her chores and began avoiding Rosie. Whenever Rosie tried to talk to her about neglecting her chores she would always respond in a rude manner and leave. One day Rosie was tied of covering for Paloma and began talking with the other angels about her concerns. Paloma overheard and immediately talked to god and began talking disrespectfully in behalf of Rosie and even lied about doing Rosie's chores and covering for her
...
Few days had passed, until Rosie received a letter that she has a day to leave Heaven. Rosie was enraged and went to Paloma for a conversation. Things got heated, Paloma was being obnoxious but then began crying and screaming and started spreading lies that Rosie has sworn at her. That was the last time Rosie saw Heaven as she fell down to Hell. She was hurt, lost, confused and felt betrayed by the only man she ever truly believed in. After that came rage as she was not gods favourite anymore and did not even acknowledge her word in the conversation with Paloma. She was now a rebel, with a new name called Raquel. She realised that she was naive and that angered her. Her hair turned black, her clothes changed and she was now the fallen, the unstoppable...
Overall I am happy with what I wrote as I now have a clear backstory for the clothes I will most probably be creating. Below is what I believe Paloma looked like:
There are some really strong ideas in this post, there is a lot of room for following up with posts on how you would realise some of these ideas - part of your outcomes could also be designing the environments for the fall of Rosie, illustrating a loss of innocence - from the historical influenced to the contemporary.
